British Politics
Disturbed by apathy in British Politics today I set myself the challenge of analysing why there is so much disinterest, this piece is divided into two parts:
Are the political parties in the UK converging? Is there really no difference between them anymore? Looking at the manifestos from the three main parties over the last 60 years you can see how the language does become more similar, but does this actually help highlight the differences? This work visually shows how frequently key words have been used.
We live in one of the oldest democracies in the world yet we have a system which allows only a quarter of the public to choose the government. This piece depicts visually how democratic our democracy really is. White spaces represent unheard voices.
